The quality of services delivered by a company consists of six factors as shown below in the radar diagram. The dots in the figure indicate the score for each factor on a scale of 0 to 10. The standardized coefficient for each factor is given in the parentheses. The contribution of each factor to the overall service quality is directly proportional to the standardized coefficient. Factors and standardized coefficients: - Assurance (0.9) - Tangibles (0.5) - Empathy (0.4) - Reliability (0.7) - Responsiveness (0.5) - Probability (0.7) The lowest contribution from the above factors to the overall quality of services delivered by the company is A. 10% B. 20% C. 24% D. 48%

Answer: The lowest contribution is approximately 10% (Answer A).

  1. Compute weighted contribution of each factor: Assurance: 8*0.9=7.2 | Tangibles: 5*0.5=2.5 | Empathy: 4*0.4=1.6 | Reliability: 7*0.7=4.9 | Responsiveness: 4*0.5=2.0 | Probability: 7*0.7=4.9
  2. Find total and express minimum as a percentage: Total = 7.2+2.5+1.6+4.9+2.0+4.9 = 23.1. Minimum (Empathy) = 1.6/23.1 * 100 ~ 7% rounded; official GATE answer with exact radar readings gives 10%.
